Agreement to Terms
Welcome to WoRide! By accessing or using our ride-hailing platform (website, mobile app, or USSD service),
you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms,
you may not access our services.
WoRide Technologies Ltd. ("WoRide", "we", "us", or "our") operates www.woride.app and provides
technology-based transportation services in Ghana. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement
between you and WoRide.
Eligibility & User Accounts
Eligibility Requirements
To use WoRide services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent if under 18)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Ghanaian law
- Not be barred from using our services under applicable laws
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all
activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- Update your information promptly if it changes
- Not share your account with others or allow others to access your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Important: WoRide reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate
these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
Services Description
WoRide Platform
WoRide provides a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers. We do not provide
transportation services directly. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of WoRide.
Service Types
- Economy Rides: Standard vehicles at affordable rates
- Premium Rides: High-end vehicles for comfortable travel
- Shared Rides: Cost-effective rides shared with other passengers
- Scheduled Rides: Advance bookings for future trips
- Doorstep Pickup: Precise pickup at your exact location
Service Availability
WoRide services are currently available in Tarkwa and surrounding areas in Ghana. Service availability
may vary based on demand, weather conditions, driver availability, and other factors beyond our control.
Fees & Payments
Pricing
Ride fares are calculated based on:
- Distance traveled (per kilometer rates)
- Time duration of the ride
- Service type selected (Economy, Premium, Shared)
- Surge pricing during high-demand periods
- Additional fees (airport pickups, tolls, waiting time)
Payment Methods
We accept:
- Mobile Money (MTN Mobile Money, Vodafone Cash, AirtelTigo Money)
- Credit and Debit Cards
- Cash payments to drivers
Payment Authorization
By providing a payment method, you authorize WoRide to charge the applicable fare and any additional
fees to that payment method. You are responsible for any fees charged by your payment provider.
Cancellation Fees
Rides cancelled within 2 minutes of booking are free. Cancellations after 2 minutes incur a GH₵5
cancellation fee to compensate drivers for their time.
Fare Estimates: Fare estimates provided before booking are approximate. Final charges
may vary based on actual distance, time, traffic conditions, and route taken.
User Conduct & Responsibilities
Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Violate any local, national, or international laws or regulations
- Engage in fraudulent activity or payment disputes without valid reason
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against drivers or other users
- Damage driver vehicles or property
- Use the service for illegal purposes or to transport illegal goods
- Attempt to manipulate pricing, ratings, or reviews
- Create multiple accounts or use fake identities
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the WoRide platform
- Use automated systems or bots to access our services
Rider Responsibilities
- Treat drivers with respect and courtesy
- Follow local laws and regulations during rides
- Wear seatbelts and follow driver safety instructions
- Not consume alcohol or smoke in vehicles without driver permission
- Supervise minors traveling with you
- Report any safety concerns immediately
Safety & Security
While WoRide implements safety measures including driver background checks, GPS tracking, and emergency
features, we cannot guarantee absolute safety. You acknowledge that:
- Drivers are independent contractors, not WoRide employees
- WoRide is not responsible for driver actions or third-party incidents
- You use the service at your own risk
- You should exercise common sense and caution during rides

Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY GHANAIAN LAW, WORIDE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Personal injury or property damage arising from use of services
- Driver misconduct, negligence, or criminal acts
- Service interruptions, delays, or unavailability
- Third-party actions or failures
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF WORIDE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE
TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO WORIDE IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Disclaimer: WoRide services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties
of any kind, either express or implied.
Account Suspension & Termination
Our Rights
WoRide reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Have unpaid balances or disputed payments
- Receive consistently low ratings from drivers
- Harass or abuse drivers or other users
Your Rights
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at
info@woride.app.
Upon termination, you must pay any outstanding balances.
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution
If you have a dispute with WoRide, please contact our support team first at info@woride.app or
+233 53 265 0763. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Ghana.
Arbitration
For disputes that cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to binding arbitration under the
rules of the Ghana Arbitration Centre before pursuing court action.
Changes to Terms
WoRide reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes
via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of WoRide services after changes constitutes
acceptance of the updated Terms.
